The day-by-day event schedule for the 2024 Summer Games, which run through Aug. 11

The 2024 Paris Olympics has reached its final day, and Team USA is will to finish atop the overall Olympics medal count. There has been no shortage of star power representing the United States throughout these Summer Games, which officially end Sunday.

Established American stars like LeBron James, Simone Biles, Katie Ledecky, and Noah Lyles have wrapped their Games, as have new Olympic legends Sophia Smith, Sha’Carri Richardson, Ilona Maher, and Stephen Curry. Still, there’s a lot to play for in the coming hours. On Sunday, the United States will compete in several sports, including women’s marathon, women’s cycling, women’s weightlifting, women’s wrestling, men’s water polo, women’s volleyball, and the Olympics’ last event, women’s basketball.

Entering Sunday, Team USA leads China in the overall medal count 122-90, but trails in the gold medal count 39-38. The Americans likely have multiple ways to pull even or surpass China, but either way the United States has outperformed its showing at the Tokyo Games. The Closing Ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. ET and will feature a handoff to the United States as Summer Games next stop is Los Angeles in July of 2028.

The 17-day sporting event will feature many of the world’s top athletes, and you can watch the action both on NBC and streaming on fubo (Try for free).

You can also stick with CBS Sports throughout the Olympics for medal table updates and a Team USA results tracker breaking down every American medal winner along with which athletes from the U.S. and around the world etch their names in Olympic history joining the pantheon of legends who have preceded them.
